Quarter size boil/cyst infection on bridge of nose

14 year old son acquired large cystic boil infection at contact point between top of mask and bridge of nose. Cyst was approximately one inch in diameter. Over the course of 8 weeks he required 2 different courses of oral antibiotics due to the proximity to eyes and brain. He was also given prednisone and topical antibiotics. Cyst did not disappear and finally needed to be lanced at dermatologist office. Scaring is imminent and will be prominent on his face. My son was forced to do on-line learning during this infection because he could not wear a mask to school (mask rubbed on the cyst).
